We've been at this venue for several years and those of us who have travelled a bit consider it one of the best rc yachting venues. The Pat is approximately 80m wide and runs in a roughly N.N.E/S.S.W direction at the boat shed end.  The bank is about 2m above the water so competitors get an excellent view of the far buoys. We have a boat shed for storage of our dinghy and other equipment and there are excellent toilet and shower facilities in the Scout Hall to which we have access. The 2010 Nationals will have the use of the Scout Hall kitchen and large meeting room for lunches each day. We will also have the use of the Scouts large boat shed for overnight storage for competitors boats. There are some trees for shade and we will be erecting extra temporary shade each day.

Weather

Typical January day in Adelaide is fine and warm to hot. Average max temp is 28C. Wind is best after lunch and is most often S/SW @ 10 to 15 knots. Click here for B.O.M. records for the Adelaide Airport. The airport B.O.M. site is about 1.5 km from the Pat. Click here the 3pm wind data for the airport for January.
